What is your coaching style?

Go & Glow coaching (which is all remote) is accessible for every body and ability, and focuses on long term development and feeling your best.  Whether you are new to running, want to move up a level from a 10K to half marathon or more, looking to improve your pace, or want to focus on strength, Go & Glow focuses on harnessing your physical and mental strength so you achieve your goals. Rachel has a more conservative approach that focuses on a steady progression, as to minimize injury and risk of overtraining.  As an expert in corrective exercise and perinatal fitness, her coaching also incorporates holistic methods, which allows for a more comprehensive approach to overall wellness.

I’m a new mom. How do I safely return to a running practice?

Exercise and motherhood are all about balance.  But getting back to being active after delivering a baby can be very challenging physically, mentally, and emotionally.  A mom herself, as a well a pre & post natal corrective exercise specialist, Rachel knows first-hand that postpartum exercise can be incredibly rewarding on all levels.  It IS possible to "bounce back" (but gradually!) to being active after having a baby.  Together we can create a customized training plan that works for you, and gets you glowing.

What types of training plans do you offer?

Go & Glow creates curated coaching for everyone of all abilities, runner or non runner.  If you're looking to run your first 5K, a half marathon, or marathon, Go & Glow can provide you with a customized programming.  If you are more of a season runner, and are looking to improve your time, or even qualify for the Boston Marathon, we can work together to develop a plan that meets your specific time goals.  If running a race isn't your thing, and you are just focusing on getting fit and stronger and feeling better about yourself, Go & Glow will work with you as your personal coach to create a plan that works for you. If you’re looking for group coaching, Go & Glow partners with Brooklyn Strength and offers quarterly virtual group coaching.

How are your training plans different from other plans found elsewhere?

While there are a number of training plans (many of them free!) found online or found through group training programs, Go & Glow creates customized and personalized plans.  There is no "one size fits all" plan.  Each plan takes into account your goal(s), current and past fitness and running history, previous injuries, the amount of time you can feasibly dedicate to training, and more.  In creating customized plans, Rachel also factors in the work + life + activity balance...so you can train on a schedule that works for you.  Go & Glow isn't just focused on running, too; cross-training suggestions, corrective exercise methods, mental strategies, and wellness tips are also provided so your inner athlete can shine.

I’m not sure if Virtual Coaching works for me!  How does this work?

Go & Glow works with you remotely wherever you are in the world.  In fact, we've already worked with athletes across the US and North America.  After your initial outreach, we’ll discuss in more detail about how virtual coaching works. It’s all adaptable to your needs, your goals, your schedule. Just reach out!
